The ByGungur Bagru saree is an artisanal product from Rajasthan, India. Made of 100% cotton voile it’s soft yet durable, a true piece of traditional Indian craftsmanship that you can treasure as your own, or gift to a loved one.
The saree is decorated with the Bagru block print technique, a traditional block printing process that dates back over 400 years from the region of Rajasthan, north western India. a region famous for palaces, forts, and handicrafts. In this process designs are carved onto blocks of wood by hand. These blocks are then dipped into natural dyes and the designs are stamped, one by one, onto the surface of the fabric. Each different colour and design element requires a different hand cut block, so this is a time and labour intensive process.
An emblem of femininity the saree inspires in the wearer a sense of confidence, grace and poise. Walk tall and proud in this beautiful saree that carries the essence of regal Rajasthan, or use it to decorate your home. However you choose to use this stunning piece of wearable art, it’s a piece to treasure. If you don’t know how to put on a saree, go to our tutorials section and we’ll teach you how.

At ByGungur we see beauty in this imperfection. No two saris are the same, each one is a unique piece of art.
